What's to stop Musk, who's already tried meddling with German elections, from seizing Zelenskyy's, or any other European leader's X account, and posting something with dire geopolitical consequences? We're way past the point where it's wise for European leaders and institutions to rely on a presence on X—and other US platforms are not a good long-term solution either. More should follow the example of the @EUCommission and provide their updates directly, without middlemen, through the fediverse.

Medienbibliotheken auf drehendem Rost verträgt JellyFin aber so überhaupt gar nicht (gut dass ich eh alles auf SSDs umgestellt habe) und auch sonst hat's paar Macken.
Ansonsten habe ich aber gerade keine performance-Probleme mit der Kombination

Wo ist dann der Vorteil ggü. die Sachen einfach per Syncthing o.ä. zwischen meinen eigenen Geräten zu synchronisieren?
potentiell sehe ich dass man nur ein Subset der Fotos auf dem eigenen Gerät halten müsste und deren Speicher statt dem eigenen nutzt.
Aber wenn der US Anbieter nächste Woche weg sein könnte (oder mein Konto bei denen) wäre das dann halt Totalverlust.

I'm getting really tired of European politicians and press downplaying the European market and capabilities. Yes, it would be much better for everyone to have a good alliance and partnership with the US, but the Europe is massive on its own.
