Next time you're watching a video of someone talking to the camera in selfie mode, watch their eyes and see if they're really looking at the camera or looking at themselves on the screen the whole time checking out if they look good. Adjust your judgement of them on this basis.
you know why that camera is located right next to the screen? because looking into a sensor doesn't help anybody.
nobody looks into the camera! IF it looks like they do, then only because there's nice tricks to enable that look.
Judge them for using selfie mode instead of a decent setup!

@anon_opin This is actually something I'm aware of, and if I ever make video that way (which is rare), I begin by making sure I know where the actual camera is so I can look directly into it.
What annoys me is YouTubers using "off-eyeline" B cameras. One moment they're talking to me, the next moment they're ignoring me and talking to some invisible person over to my left. WTF! How rude! Guys, just cut between zoom levels, nobody cares.
