I ride from work to my son's school. I walk home with him from there pushing my bike. People use the pavement as their own personal parking space while their driveway is empty. If the pedal of my bike scratches your car because you're blocking half of the pavement. I'm not sorry.
@fesshole As a blind traveller, I use a white cain to locate and avoid objects. I'm equally not sorry, when my cain locates vehicles parked on sidewalks neither. In fact, I go out of my way to ensure a second, more thorough contact, after the first unintentional contact that endangers and stops/redirects me.
@fesshole Or the drive is full and cthe ar hangs out over the pavement because they have quite deliberately bought a car too long for their driveway, and indend to steal public space for their private vehicle indefinitely... I'd have the local council saw the excess off at the property line or bill them ~£5k/m^2 of overhang until the vehicle is sold, owner's choice.
