AWS, Azure, Cloudflare, ... all had several hours of downtime this year.
This year my NAS at home had more uptime than many hyperscalers.
This is not how webhosting is supposed to work.

Those were up for like a decade with in sum less than an hour downtime
I'd say it's way more about complexity than "maximum effort hyperscaler"-bullshit.
But then that's nothing you can sell with great profit.
