@kimlockhartga And there aren't any little girls called Alexa anymore, the name is going extinct.
@LordCaramac I would imagine so. Certain names get ruined by association, like Clementine, Elvira, or Jolene.
I wanted to call our daugther "Eris", but that was declined by my SO… so we now have a daughter with the most common girls name (in each and every year +/- 2 to her birth)

@dat @LordCaramac @pomegranate_stew Well, she can always choose her own name at age 18. I do like the name Eris, which sounds Gaelic? The kids with unusual names at school, when I was a kid, absolutely hated their names. I think that has changed a lot now.
We had to talk our SIL out of naming her youngest Clementine. She relented. The other two have unusual names.
