Interviewed an 18 year old lad yesterday who smuggly made a point he was going to the opening night of Oasis at Wembley. He wasn't even a twinkle in his dad's eye during their heyday. I'm not going because of kids like this jumping on the bandwagon so he's not getting the job.
@fesshole not even the oasis bros themselves are this petty and twatty and that's saying something
@fesshole drawback: you’re clearly missing out on someone with excellent tenacity, online skills and task focus.
Benefit: you won’t be disappointed when Noel and Liam inevitably torpedo the whole tour with a row at the first rehearsal.
@fesshole I've long held that nearly every band that reforms like this just becomes a bad tribute act to the band they were. You'd likely see better tribute acts down the pub on a Friday night
@fesshole I always try to evaluate candidates based on their competency for the job and it baffles me that people like this dude can sleep at night.
One of these days I'm expecting to see somebody fess about how they're a doctor and let a patient die because they had a Nickelback tattoo or something.
Though actually being mad at people for *liking* the same band you like is even sadder.
@fesshole So nobody is allowed to like bands that formed before we were born? I'm under 40; am I not allowed to like Judas Priest?
@fesshole The person you ended up hiring, can they spell?
@fesshole You're an arsehole, obvs. But you also deserve the misery it's brought you.
Perhaps if you broadened your taste in music you might find a little joy in life.
You and Oasis are fucking perfect for each other though, that much is clear.
@fesshole you aren't giving someone a job because they are smug about going to an Oasis concert? i mean, that's not something to be smug about, but also hire and fire people based on their qualifications, not based on what concerts they're going to.
But Nickelback? There might be some point where a doctors help only prolongs the torment?

@fesshole
the equality act 2010 doesn't protect against ageist discrimination.
it protects against ageist discrimination _in theory_ which is a big difference.
also if it wasn't for the young fans with rich daddies paying £400 or more on surge pricing Oasis wouldn't be playing Wembley at all so the confessor is talking out of their hat.
Hope (18,M) learns how to play the employment game, you're navigating class & socio economic discrimination age well as age discrimination and to a certain extent jobs in the UK go to people who don't or pretend they don't need them. the oasis tickets might have been the wrong card to play this time around but sounds like he dodged a bullet not working for this sad prick.
@fesshole what the fuck was he supposed to have done, manifested himself ten years earlier? Get a fucking grip
