I have discussed with my wife that I'm going to buy a bicycle. Today she asked if I'm going to buy the bicycle. I have already bought the bicycle. I have spent twice as much on the bicycle as I told her I was going to. I am working on a strategy to manage this situation.
@fesshole ...Tell her you bought the bicycle?
@fesshole What, you mean you're not already looking to get another bike?
@fesshole And what do you intend to do with the bycicle? I mean, it’s not something that you can easily hide.
@fesshole Tell her you bought it but fudge how much it cost. (Like she never spent more than she told you on a pair of shoes, a coat or a handbag, etc.)
@fesshole tell her, you actually bought two bicycles but, quite innovative and practical, the two bikes come in the form of one!
@fesshole you could always say the bicycle is a two in one if it's a touring/racing bike with double the gears and so the usefullness and ridability. if you have two bikes in one as it were.
@fesshole Tried the truth?
Buy her one?
@fesshole Honesty is such a lonely word.
@fesshole honesty is the best strategy. just tell her. work with her. honestly, common sense is severely lacking sometimes.
@fesshole So she's not noticed the money you spent on the bicycle, nor has she noticed you owning or even riding said bicycle?
Honestly, think you're in the clear.
