Wife kept nagging me to do something about the creaky floorboards in our hallway. I have no idea how I'm supposed to stop floors from creaking, can't exactly spray a bit of WD40 on it. Told her it's our early warning system for when our kid might enter our room. No more nagging.

@fesshole use screws to fix them rather than nails. Standard solution.

@dat @fesshole Gotta say he made a nce reframe of the issue tho' - and wife seemed to latch on to see it as a good way of not getting a kiddie surprise visit while doing the nuptials.

That’s an easy fix. I had the same problem and I told my wife it only squeaks when she walks on it and she might want to consider dieting. That quickly ended the nagging because I now live alone
