The Tesla Truck has been outlawed in England for being unsafe. They are not allowed on British roads, no matter where they are registered. There is a good chance the rest of Europe will also outlaw them.

@tdwllms1 The Tesla CyberTruck hasn't been "banned" in the UK—it was never legal in the first place because it doesn't meet mandatory safety standards. Therefore they can't be insured, and uninsured vehicles on the public highways can be seized and crushed by the police (and the owners fined).

@cstross @tdwllms1 funny story. there *are* actually a couple of legal ones in the UK, because the owners went through the extremely long and expensive process of getting them modified to meet safety requirements. but at least one of the owners (who hired someone I know to detail it) now has major buyer's remorse because it makes him look like a massive twat.
