Persönlich bin ich ja der Meinung, dass Zoos/Tierparks viel besser funktionieren wenn man mehr kleine und evtl. gar lokale Tiere anbietet.

Mäuse, Frettchen, Erdmännchen, Füchse, Hasen - alles viel besser als Großkatzen und Giraffen.

I visited the exhibition "The Life of Things" in museum Voorlinden In Wassenaar, the Netherlands. The artist of this work is Anouk Kruithof. She found in Berlin 3500 books in secondhand bookstores and waste paper. She stacked them against the wall. What you see is a pixelated image, reminiscent of the advancing digitalisation. Had a new insect visitor so I dusted off the macro lens. I think this is an adult antlion? I don't think I've ever seen one before. #nature #insects #photography

Close up on a winged insect with a long body. A mottling of beige and black covers the body and and legs. The wings are clear with spots of black/grey throughout. Its head has large spherical eyes which reflect the camera's flash with prismatic marbling pattern almost like a nebula.
