🌆 Just after sunset, as twilight gently embraced the ancient stones of Suwon, I captured this tranquil moment at Hwahongmun, the northern water gate of Hwaseong Fortress in South Korea. The golden hour had just slipped away, leaving behind a dreamy interplay of warm lights and deepening shadows that framed the scene like poetry.

Set against the rich architectural detail of the fortress, Hwahongmun stands as a timeless testament to Korean ingenuity and elegance. Its tiled rooftop and traditional wooden beams offer a quiet contrast to the softly lit channel of water flowing through the heart of Suwon. Below the gate, the stream gently cascades over stone steps, shimmering with soft reflections, like a watercolour painting brought to life.
