-
The pebbles in the water had hardly moved at all. We had to look elsewhere in the mountain for signs of change.

Portrait format photo of a mountain landscape at sunrise.
In the foreground, pebbles bathe in a lake, probably close to the shore given the shallowness of the water.
At the far end of the lake stands a refuge and a canine-shaped mountain. The sky is blue, with fine pink clouds reflected in the lake.

Seen at the beaver pond: a small vortexing whirlpool close to a dam. There must be a hole in the dam and water is draining through it.
The sun was in my back and I am mirrored at the top edge of the funnel along with the sky, sun, cloud, and a shrub.
A photo you cannot plan for., and hard to describe.

View into shallow water of a pond with a muddy bottom and some light coloured rocks. In the centre is a round bluish circle, reflecting the blue sky and me taking the photo. The circle is formed by water being sucked downward. The brown mud has starshaped ridges as it is drawn toward the centre.

It's a post as I delve through my archives and found this little gem.

Convention wisdom would say that a M-P (Typ 240) isn't the right camera to use to shoot the , but who cares about convention wisdom when it can do the job?

Shot with Leica M-P (Typ 240) with the 15 mm f/2.

Also, screw ! Revisited this with !

Guidelines for writing good prose in English: 1) Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print. 2) Never use a long word where a short one will do. 3) If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out. 4) Never use the passive where you can use the active. 5) Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent. 6) Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.
