Somehow I can't even laugh about the M$ #github #dotnet #copilot debacle.
It's just sad. I'm thinking of the accruing environmental, human and social costs of the machines that are dumping slop onto everyone's lives.
Also, a company that has the power to decide on a whim that billions will suddenly have to worry about private conversations being screenshotted to be mined for more slop, and to strong-arm whole countries to run their rotten and snooping systems, simply has no right to exist.

Daughters room was horrific. Clothes, food, mugs etc strewn about. Told her she'd get mice. She didn't believe me. Went on Amazon and bought 100g of black rice, chucked a teaspoon in there when she was out. Much tidier now.

Dire prospects. But also: sea level migration will not happen in isolation. It will be in combination with heat and agricultural failure migration and economic collapse. Just like #FamiliesLikeOurs is so misleading. It’s not like everything else will stay the same, just rising sea levels.
Maybe too obvious and I guess researchers have to focus on one phenomenon, but still.

passiert ist... nichts.
In Hamburg wurde an einer stark befahrenen Straße geschaut, wie viele Zufußgehende diese in 24 Stunden überqueren.
Während der KFZ-Verkehr 50 Sekunden lang "Grün" bekam, mussten sich Zufußgehende mit 8,6 Sekunden begnügen.
Nach dem Vergleich und Auswertung, haben Zufußgehende jetzt 15 Sekunden Zeit und der KFZ-Verkehr 14 Sekunden, danach schaltet die Ampel standardmäßig wieder "Grün" für Zufußgehende, außer, dass sich der ÖPNV eine Vorrangschaltung anfordert, die bekommt dann höchste Priorität.
Hamburg will das nach und nach an allen Ampeln ausrollen, um die "Bettelampel" für Zufußgehende ganz abzuschaffen.
Überall: bitte nachmachen!
