🌸 Torreya and Shichimi

A colour illustration of two fictional characters from the comic series Pepper&Carrot. Torreya, a young dragon pilot with brown spiky hair and green eyes, wearing her pilot's goggles and a red kimono. In her arms, cuddling, is Shichimi, short hair, very light blonde, and red eyes. She wears a lighter kimono with floral decorations. The pose is intimate, but both figures look at the viewer with confidence and determination.

A slope of volcano is pictured with red glowing lava running down its side. A dark starry sky is in the background. Up into the sky a red column is visible.

Warum also nicht gleich nochmal was ähnliches?

Good Morning, Treebeard - Another early pre-rain hike today, this time on Mt. Seymour. I managed to find my way onto a shared mountain bike track (which meant a few quick jumps to the side), and came across a lot of Old Man's Beard.

A photograph of an old tree, almost exactly half covered with green old man's beard moss. The tree is (I believe) an arbutus tree, but it's tough to tell under all that green.

The tree occupies the centre of the frame, with the un-moss-covered top exposing it's red bark.

Ray Lonsdale's 'The Coxwain', a sculpture at Seaham Harbour, Co Durham. It commemorates the courage and dedication of past and present members of the town's lifeboat station, in particular, those who lost their lives aboard the 'George Elmy' lifeboat in 1962. The Seaham Lifeboat Disaster, as it is referred to, is an event I clearly remember from my youth.

Bridlepath sign and mossy oaks near Sheepstor this week,

A portrait of a stellar jay.

Came across this beautiful stellar jay during an autumn hike up in the alpine. The fall colours of the foliage provided such a pleasant background.

A stellar jay stands upright in the middle of the frame with the upper half of its body visible and facing towards the left side of the frame. The black feathers of its head and neck blend into rich blue feathers of its shoulders, wings, and chest. The black and blue colours of the stellar jay contrasts with a bright green and orange background created by blurred out fall foliage of an alpine forest during a sunny autumn day.
